Hella Klauser has been a member of the Executive Committee in her first term from 2019 to 2021 and a member of EBLIDA’s Expert Group on Culture and Information Society (EGCIS) from 2008 to 2012.

• Since 2005 responsible for international cooperation within the Network of Excellence for Libraries (knb) at the German Library Association (Deutscher Bibliotheksverband dbv) in Berlin, Germany
• Between 2013 - 2016 Head of the 'Libraries' Department at the Goethe-Institute (German cultural Institute), Head Office in Munich, Germany
• 1991 - 2003 Head of the libraries of the Goethe-Institutes in Tokyo, Japan, and Paris, France
• 1989-1991 Library Director at the German - American Institute (DAI) in Heidelberg
• Studies of library science (diploma) and comparative literature and linguistics (M.A.) at Stuttgart University, Germany
• Member of EBLIDA’s Executive Committee 2019 – 2021
• Member of EBLIDA’s Expert Group on Culture and Information Society (EGCIS) 2008 - 2012
• Member of the Standing Committee in section ‘Management of Library Associations’ of the International Federation of Library Associations IFLA 1st term (since 2017); before member of Standing Committee of IFLA section ‘Management and Marketing’ and involved in IFLA Special Interest Group NOIR.
• Since 2006 member of the German standing committee BI-International to promote international professional exchange
• Board member of the Association BID (Bibliothek Information Deutschland)
• Teaching international library science at the Bavarian Library Academy since 2019
