He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences in 1990. He was appointed as a research assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Anadolu University. He completed his doctorate at the same university in 1996. In 2003, he became an associate professor and in 2008, he was appointed as a professor at the same faculty. Naci GÜNDOĞAN, who has articles on social policy and labor economics in various journals, as well as national and international papers presented at various conferences, is also the author of the books "Youth Unemployment", "The Changing Face of Poverty: Working Poor”, "Labor Economics." In the spring semester of 2008-2009, he served as a visiting faculty member at Cornell University's ILR School in the United States. GÜNDOĞAN, who served as the Vice Rector at Anadolu University from 2010 to 2014, was appointed as the Rector of Anadolu University in 2014. He was appointed as a member of YÖK in 2018 and 2022 and was elected as a member of the Executive Board. He served as the President of the Interuniversity Board Social Sciences Education Council (2014-2018), a member of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish World Foundation (2016-present), a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Fulbright Education Commission (2015-2016), a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) (2021-present), and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye Manas University (2022-present). He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the National Open and Distance Education University of Colombia (Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia) in Bogota, Colombia in 2017 for his contributions to open and distance learning worldwide.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Fadıl Sözen graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Cinema-TV and Photography at Dokuz Eylul University in 1985. He received his master's degree in Performing and Visual Arts from the same university in 1992, followed by a doctorate in 1995.
He began his academic career in 1988 as a lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts at Fırat University and became an assistant professor at Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in 1999. He was promoted to associate professor in 2011 and to professor in 2017 at Akdeniz University. Prof. Dr. Sözen has conducted extensive research in the field of Cinema-TV, focusing on documentary filmmaking, sound in cinema, and film music.
He has published numerous articles on Turkish cinema, documentary filmmaking, and cinematic narration. In addition to his work in film production and management, as well as video design, he has participated in various national projects.
His administrative roles include serving as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Akdeniz University (1999-2004), Head of the Cinema-TV Department (2001-2020), Director of the Institute of Fine Arts (2020-2023), and Faculty Senator (2008-2011).
As of April 2024, Prof. Dr. M. Fadıl Sözen serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at Antalya Belek University and has been the Acting Rector since August 29, 2024.
He graduated from Ankara Fen Lisesi in 1989. He completed his undergraduate studies at Boğaziçi University, Department of Mathematics in 1994. He pursued a Master's in Mathematics at Bilkent University in 1996 and at Institut Fourier in 1997. He defended his doctoral thesis at Institut Fourier in 2000.
Since 2000, he has been working at Galatasaray University in the Department of Computer Engineering and, since its establishment, in the Department of Mathematics, where he has served as the head of the department and as the dean.
He has served as a consultant for TÜBİTAK's Fundamental Sciences Research Group, co-chair of the Romanian Grigore Moisil Turkish-Romanian Research Center, a member of the Advisory Board of TÜBİTAK Science and Technology Journal, and a delegate member of the European Mathematical Society. He is a member of the Turkish, French, European, and American Mathematics Societies. He has worked as a visiting researcher at centers in France, Germany, Japan, Israel, and India.
In 2010, he was awarded the TÜBİTAK TWAS and TÜBA GEBİP awards. He has conducted many research projects and published in reputable journals. He continues to write columns for the Mathematics World magazine.
Mirat SATOĞLU is the Director of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM Institute. Established in 1996 under the name of TÜBİTAK Ulakbim National Academic Network and Information Center, it provides information services such as Turkey Libraries Collective Catalog Service, EKUAL Collection Development Service, TR Index Index Service, Dergipark Magazine Hosting Service.
He played a leading role in many open science initiatives such as TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, TÜBİTAK Open Science Policy, Aperta Open Archive, Harman Academic Archive under the management of SATOĞLU.

Colleen Campbell is strategic advisor for open access at the Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL). There she coordinates two open access initiatives: the Open Access 2020 Initiative (OA2020), a global alliance of research organizations and their libraries that are repurposing their investments in subscriptions to support open access publishing, and the ESAC Initiative, an international community of practice dedicated to optimizing open access workflows and processes. She is a member of the LIBER Open Access Working Group, serves on the Managing Board of EIFL, a not-for-profit organization that works with libraries to enable access to knowledge in developing and transition economy countries, and contributes in the advisory groups of a number of publisher and scholarly communication initiatives.
Agnès Ponsati holds a degree in Hispanic Philology (University of Barcelona) and a Diploma in Librarianship and Documentation from the same university.
Since 1994 she has been head of CSIC Unit of Information Resources for Research till August 2017. From September 2017 Director of the Division of Processes and Digital Services at Spanish National Library till November 20018. Since then she is back to the former position at CSIC.
Previously she worked at the Technical Department of Barcelona’s University Library (1987-1990) and as automation manager at Catalonian CSIC libraries branch (1990-1993).
The CSIC’s Unit manages the most important scientific library network in Spain.
Specialist in automated library systems in distributed networks and in management and coordination of library services and collections at research hybrid-digital libraries. Responsible for the set up of CSIC Virtual Library and the management of the digital collections and all technological supporting tools. She’s been involved in promoting Open Access among CSIC scientific community through CSIC Institutional Repository Digital. CSIC as a useful initiative to re-situate scientific libraries within the scholarly workflow.
She has published papers on technical management of library systems and collections in distributed environments and management of library services in the context of scientific and research libraries. She has taken part in several national and European projects on automation of document collections, catalogue conversion systems, bibliographic protocols, meta-search engines and reuse of heritage collections by applying new technologies. She also has a wide expertise in publishing negotiations and licensing digital contents and has been member of several publishers’ library advisory boards (ELSEVIER, SPRINGER, WILEY, IOP, BRILL, Taylor and Francis). Lately she has been involved in the achievement of several transformative agreements carried out by the CSIC under the Open Access Program for CSIC authors. She is a member of the Open Science Technical Commission created by the Ministry of Science and Research (2019) to elaborate the document defining the National Strategy for Open Science and in the CRUE-CSIC commission for the negotiation of the Publishing and Reading agreements (Elsevier, Springer, ACS Wiley).
She is also member of the SCOAP3 Global Council representing the Spanish library consortia. She has been member of the LIBER executive Board (2017-2021) and SPARC Europe executive Board (2018-2021), member of the Sciene Europe Open Access Working Group (2011-2021), member of the Sciene Europe Open Science Working Group (2022). From November 2022 is part of the commission in charge of defining the new strategic plan 2024-2028 of REBIUN (Network of University and Scientific Libraries).
Maria Ntaountaki is active in the Academic Library sector since 1993. She has working experience in strategic planning, e-resources management, negotiations with stakeholders for e-resources, quality assurance systems and user support.
She is currently Library Director at the Technical University of Crete. She is also a member of the HEAL-Link Steering Committee for Electronic Resources (Hellenic Academic Libraries Link) and a member of the Open Science Working Group in Greece.
Diana Silva (Library, Information and Museology Services of the University of Aveiro, Portugal) is an academic librarian with extensive experience for about 22 years working with scientific information and repositories, promoting information and digital literacy skills, and supporting research community in scientific publishing and Open Science. Worked as a trainer for the b-on consortium and currently works as a trainer in several Portuguese higher education institutions on literature searching methodologies, ethical use of scientific information, scientific publishing, Open Science practices, licenses, and copyright, research metrics, research data management. Author of publications on innovation in academic library services and speaker at conferences on topics related to the role of libraries in supporting research and developing literacy skills, and more recently on the subjects Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence Literacy in HE. member of the “Portuguese Open Science & RRI Trainers Community of Practice and of the “Higher Education Libraries Working Group” of the Association of Librarians, Archivists and Information and Documentation Professionals - Portugal, and co-author of the of the Recommendations for Higher Education Libraries in Portugal 2016-2019 and 2020-2022.

Prof. Dr. Seref Sagiroglu completed his undergraduate education in 1987 at Erciyes University, Department of Electronics Engineering. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Wales College of Cardiff (now Cardiff University, UK) in 1994. He continues his academic career as the full professor in Software Engineering at Gazi University Computer Engineering Department. Sagiroglu has an outstanding academic with more than 8000 citations; almost 400 articles published in SCI/SSCI indexed journals, national and international conferences, symposium and workshops. Prof. Sagiroglu is author and/or editor of more than 20 books, owns 4 patents and has completed national and international projects on security, big data, intelligent modeling and control, biometric, etc; organized more than 50 national and international events on artificial intelligence, 5G, Big Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Information and Cyber Security, Privacy, IPv6, etc. as a chairman or co-chairman. İsmail ÇETİNKAYA, who graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Department of Information and Records Management in 1998, completed his master's degree in Business Administration at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. He worked as a Researcher in the Ministry of Forestry's Ottoman Period Forestry Research Project and publication, as a Librarian at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and as an Instructor at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, and mainly conducted Medical Librarianship and Medical Documentation courses. Çetinkaya served as the Head of the Library and Documentation Department at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University between 2006 and 2021 and has been working as the Head of the Library and Documentation Department at Isparta University of Applied Sciences since January 19, 2021. Çetinkaya, who conducted the Science Board Membership and Information Literacy course in the Primary and Secondary Education Project Execution and Science Counseling Education Project (Science Counseling Workshop in Education) carried out by the TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Department in 2007-2008, and in 2014, he was appointed by the Higher Education Board to study the University Libraries Study. Group (Improving University Libraries and Setting Standards) and was among those who prepared the report titled “The Current Situation of University Libraries in Turkey Towards 2023, Problems, Standards and Suggestions for Solutions”. Çetinkaya, who has been serving as ANKOS Board Member since 2010, has been serving as ANKOS President since 05 August 2022. He continues to share his professional knowledge and experience by taking part in many national and international events in the field of librarianship and publishing. Çetinkaya is married and has one child.
Dr. Metehan Güzel completed his bachelor, master's, and Ph.D. education at Gazi University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering in 2012, 2016, and 2022, respectively. Between 2013 and 2022, he served as a research assistant in the same department where he pursued his education. From 2022 to 2023, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Kafkas University. Since October 2023, he has joined the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Digital Transformation Office as an AI specialist. In his current role, he provides artificial intelligence training to students and public institutions as part of the Digital Youth AI Ecosystem project.
Simon Hodson has been Executive Director of CODATA since August 2013.
Simon is an expert on data policy issues and research data management. Most recently, he chaired the European Commission’s Expert Group on FAIR Data which produced the report Turning FAIR into Reality (https://doi.org/10.2777/1524). He was also vice-chair of the UNESCO Open Science Advisory Committee, with an influential role in drafting the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, which was adopted in November 2021. Previously he contributed to influential reports on Current Best Practice for Research Data Management Policies, to the Science International Accord on Open Data in a Big Data World, and to the OECD Global Science Forum and CODATA Report on Sustainable Business Models for Research Data Repositories.
As a significant part of his CODATA role, Simon is tasked with implementing a major ISC and CODATA Decadal Programme on ‘Making Data Work for Cross-Domain Grand Challenges’, which will improve the coordination of specifications for data integration and interoperability for interdisciplinary research. The flagship activity is the EC-funded WorldFAIR Project, for which Simon is the coordinator. Simon also contributes activity to the work of the CODATA Data Policy Committee. Additionally, Simon leads or participants in numerous projects, Working Groups and Steering Groups. In recent years, Simon has been a co-chair (2015-2018) of the GEO Data Sharing Working Group, to which CODATA has made a long-term contribution; co-chair of ; a member of the Board of Directors of the Dryad Data Repository (2012-2018), a not-for-profit initiative to make the data underlying scientific publications discoverable, freely reusable, and citable; Project Director, African Open Science Platform Project (2016-19); and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of CESSDA ERIC, the European data infrastructure for the social sciences.
Sami Çuhadar completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in Information and Document Management at Istanbul University, BA in Economics at Anadolu University, and his PhD studies in Information and Document Management at Çankırı Karatekin University.
Sami Cuhadar is the Library Director at Istanbul Bilgi University Library and e-Resources in Istanbul, Turkey. He taught the course “Research Methods and Accessing Legal Information Resources” to first-year students at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law.
Mr. Çuhadar is also active in non-governmental organizations in the field of librarianship and information management. He is the former president and board member of the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) and coordinator of UNAK-Turkish Platform of Law Librarians. He has academic studies and publications on total quality management in libraries, distance learning, university libraries, legal information resources, information literacy, artificial intelligence, consortia, electronic resource management, and ranking systems.
Tolga Ayav is with the Department of Computer Engineering at the Izmir Institute of Technology. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering at IZTECH and Ege University respectively. After a three- year industry experience, he joined the IT department of IZTECH as a system analyst in 1999. In 2000, he became an instructor in the Department of Computer Engineering. He worked as a post- doctoral researcher at INRIA Rhône-Alpes between 2004 and 2006. Since 2006, he has been working as a faculty member at IZTECH. He also acted as the vice chair of the Graduate Institute and chair of the Department of Computer Engineering. He is currently the vice dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Dr. Ayav is also a co-founder of Research Ecosystems Inc. located at the technology development zone. His current research interests include software reliability, machine learning and its blockchain applications and generative AI.
Ramazan Turgut is the Managing Editor of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) in Turkey. His work focuses on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into academia, specifically in the journal publication process.
Turgut's academic journey reflects his dedication to learning and his diverse experience in Syriac studies. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Marmara University and completed his Master's and Ph.D. at Uludağ University. Additionally, he held visiting scholar positions at Radboud University in the Netherlands and the University of Chicago, where he expanded his expertise in Syriac studies and advanced research methodologies.
Currently affiliated with the Department of Syriac Language and Culture at Mardin Artuklu University, Turgut's academic interests bridge the ancient with the contemporary. He focuses on exploring modern technologies' impact on traditional scholarship and leveraging AI to enhance scholarly publishing and research processes.
Gultekin Gurdal has been working as the library director at IZTECH for 17 years. He has a Bachelor's Degree from Haceattepe University, Library Science, and a Master’s Degree from Kocaeli University, Business Administration. He has previously held positions at Bilkent University, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, Sabanci University, and TOBB University.
He has proven working experience in the field of open access, open science, and open data for more than 10 years. Between the years 2008 and 2012, he served as the Chairman of the Turkish University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) which is one of the biggest consortiums in Europe and the Middle East. He was also coordinator of the ANKOS Open Access and Institutional Repositories Working Group between the years 2008 and 2018. He is a member of the "Open Science Committee" which was founded by The Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council in 2015, and a member of Open Access and Open Science Working Group which was founded by The Turkish Higher Education Council (CoHE) in 2018. In addition, he is the coordinator “Turkey Research Data and Open Data Task Force" sub-working group.
He participated in OpenAIREPlus, OpenAIRE2020, and OpenAIRE Advance EU projects. He has been working as an OpenAIRE Turkey NOAD since 2011 by actively engaging with the rest of the project team. He also served as an OpenAIRE AMKE Executive Board member since 2021 and co-founder of Research Ecosystems, an R&D Company established within IZTECH Technopark in 2021.
He works heavily in the areas of open access and open science. He accomplished many firsts in this field and he became a very well-known name in open access. He has many national and international publications.
I am a Professor of Statistics and Disaster Science at the Middle East Technical University (METU). I was the Course Director of MSc Disaster Management and Resilience at Coventry University in the United Kingdom between August 2019 and August 2020. Prior to that I was the Director of the METU Disaster Management Centre, Ankara- Türkiye between 2008 and 2018. I am the Higher-Consultancy Board Member of Ankara City Council, which is a very well established NGO. I am a board member of the International Science Council (ISC) CODATA International Data Policy Committee (IDPC) since 2022. I am the co-chair of the UNESCO-CODATA Data Policy for Times of Crisis Project. Since 2019, I am an Academic Partnership Director of the ICPEM (Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Managament) based in London. I have been a consultant to the World Bank in disaster risk financing, pandemic response and other disaster and emergency management projects. I have 25 years of experience in disaster risk reduction, disaster risk management, policy development, resilience, disaster risk finance, disaster risk management education. I have field experience for Syrian Refugee Camps 2015, 2011 Van Earthquakes, May 2014 Soma Mine Fire, 2020 Giresun Flood, 2020 Izmir Earthquake, 2023 Kahramanmaras Earthquakes.
Tuba has been working in academic libraries for over 24 years at different capacities. She started her career as a systems librarian following her graduation from Indiana University with an MLS. Currently, she works as the library director position at Koç University which is one of the most prominent universities in Turkey. Within the scope of this position, she manages 5 libraries in 3 different cities in the country. Collection development, e-resources management, library automation, resource sharing and scholarly communication are some of the areas she is responsible for.
She has been actively involved with the Turkish national university libraries consortium (ANKOS) governance, including as its President between 2016-2018. She is an active advocator of open science in the region.
She serves on various national, regional and international advisory boards. She is member of the IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Standing Committee.
Nur UZUN, who graduated from Hacettepe University Department of Information and Document Management (Librarianship) in 2004, started her professional life as a lecturer at Gazi University Library and Documentation Department in 2005. According to Article 38 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547; She worked as a consultant at the Press and Public Relations Consultancy of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) between 2010-2013, and as a consultant at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) between 2013-2021. Nur UZUN, who has been serving as the Head of the Gazi University Library and Documentation Department since 2021, is a member of the University's Open Science and Open Access Commission, Education Board, Occupational Health and Safety High Board, and Central Library Commission.
In 2010, Begüm Yavuz obtained her Bachelor's degree in Information Management from Hacettepe University. She subsequently completed her Master's degree in Management Information Systems at Dokuz Eylül University in 2017.
From 2010 to 2012, she was employed as a customer representative at EBSCO International Inc. In 2012, she commenced her role as a librarian at Dokuz Eylül University, during which time she gained experience in several departments within the library. During this period, she engaged in volunteer activities with ANKOS and held a position on the board of the Izmir Branch of the Turkish Librarians Association.
She is the first data steward in Türkiye and has been employed as an instructor and data steward at the Izmir Institute of Technology since 2021. Begüm Yavuz, who works on open access, open science, and research data management, is a member of the OpenAIRE Research Data Management Working Group. She continues to work on research data management and FAIR principles with the PATTERN and DIRNA projects, in which the Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) library is a partner.
Ahmet Şemsettin Özdemirden is an entrepreneur and software engineer specializing in technology, born in İskenderun. He began his career in software engineering and entrepreneurship in 2015 by developing his own mobile games. Özdemirden has worked as a software engineer in various positions at technology companies such as Trendyol, Katanox, and Uncosoft, where he developed end-to-end platforms. In 2020, he became a co-founder of Research Ecosystems, where he played a role in the development of GCRIS, a research and performance evaluation information system built using the DSpace infrastructure. Since 2022, Özdemirden has continued his work abroad, currently supporting the Vienna-based company Platomics from Amsterdam. He also remains a co-founder at the İzmir-based company, Research Ecosystems. In his past experiences, he has gained in-depth knowledge in areas such as microservices architectures, CI/CD processes, big data analytics, cloud computing, product development, project management, startups, entrepreneurship, and marketing. Özdemirden aims to create more efficient, scalable, reliable, and sustainable infrastructures by using modern technology stacks in his solutions. He has experience in various fields including game development, e-commerce, healthcare and medicine, lifestyle, travel, research information systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Özdemirden holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from İzmir Institute of Technology and has given talks on software engineering and entrepreneurship. As of 2024, Ahmet Şemsettin Özdemirden continues his work in artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and software engineering with products such as “Smart Assistant AI” developed for GCRIS and “Design Assistant AI using LLM GraphRAG” developed for Kuika. He continues to contribute to the technology world from Amsterdam and İzmir while actively seeking solutions to new problems through his entrepreneurial ventures. Özdemirden is fluent in both English and Turkish.
She was born in Ankara in 1988. She did his internship at Ankara Chamber of Commerce; After his work experiences in the private sector, he was appointed as Librarian at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University in 2013. She is currently working as the Unit Manager in the Counseling and Education Services Unit of the Department of Library and Documentation.
She has taken part in many projects and studies during his education life; "TÜBİTAK – SOBAG 107ko39 coded project “Digital Game Culture and Youth’s Internet Cafe Utilizations in Turkey: Online and Offline Identity Exercises, Immobile Socialization Virtual Career Building- Ethnographic Field Study in Ankara” which is conducted between 2007-2008 and supported by TUBITAK- SOBAG", "within the scope of the 2008 National E-Government Conference and E-Government Studies in Turkey, “Academic Evaluation of the Results of the Turksat E-Government Conference Participation Survey for the Dissemination of the Use of E-Government Services by Citizens”" etc.
She is currently continuing her education at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Institute of Graduate Education, Department of Communication Sciences, Thesis Master's Degree program, and Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, Web Design and Coding departments.
She was elected to the ANKOS Artificial Intelligence Research Group on June 12, 2024 and continues her work as a group member.
Alper Menemenlioğlu, who graduated from Istanbul University Department of Information and Document Management in 2018, took the first step in his career as a University Librarian as the Circulation Services Librarian at Istanbul Aydın University Library. He joined the Kadir Has University Information Center team in 2021 and has worked as an Electronic Resources Specialist Librarian since 2022. In addition to electronic resources, he also assumes responsibilities for reference services, course resources, and interlibrary collaboration.
Alper Menemenlioğlu, who conducts studies on the use of productive artificial intelligence tools in the areas he is responsible for in the business processes of Kadir Has University Information Center, was elected to the ANKOS Artificial Intelligence Research Group on June 12, 2024.
Yılmaz was born in Silivri in 1999. In 2022, he graduated as a High Honor student from Hacettepe University, Department of Information and Document Management. He interned at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and at Informascope. At MANTİS software company, he worked on metadata entry for articles as part of the TR-Dizin Project conducted in collaboration with TÜBİTAK - ULAKBİM.
Since 2017, he has been volunteering as the Website Administrator and Digital Archive Staff at the Turkish Charity Association. Since 2023, he has served as a Publishing Editor for the Turkish Librarianship Journal and as a member of the ANKOS Artificial Intelligence Research Group.
Since 2023, Yılmaz has also been a volunteer for the TED Disaster Scholarship and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Equal Opportunity for Children Association.
As of August 2022, he has been working as a Library Specialist Assistant at TED University Ayşe Ilıcak Library.
Lecturer Çağatay Gezer was born in Ankara in 1971 and he has completed his secondary education at TED Ankara College and Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School. Later, he has graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Department of Librarianship and then he’s completed his Master's Degree in Public Administration at Süleyman Demirel University. First he has worked as an Instructor at Süleyman Demirel Information Center. After he’s worked as a Specialist at Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences. And he currently continues his professional life as the Head of Electronic Resources at Akdeniz University Central Library as a Lecturer. He was elected to ANKOS Artificial Intelligence Working Group in 2024 after years later he worked as Database Liasion ANKOS between 2010-2012. He is married and has a 16-year-old daughter.
Ece Tufanyazıcı graduated from “Department of Information Management” at Istanbul University in 2016. After graduation, she completed her language education at Guildford College, England. Ece continues her master's degree at Istanbul University, Department of Information and Document Management.
Ece Tufanyazıcı started her career in Databases and Serials as an Assistant Librarian at Istanbul Bilgi University and e-Resources in 2017 and has been continuing as a Specialist Librarian since 2021.
Ece Tufanyazıcı has been volunteering at the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) since 2018. She is the database liaison for HeinOnline and Westlaw International databases. She is also a member of the license agreements group in ANKOS.
Üstün Berk Sezgin completed his bachelor’s degree in 2008 and master’s degree in 2015 at Ankara University - Department of Information and Records Management. In 2009, he worked as a sales consultant at Mikrobeta Yazılım, from 2010 to 2011 he worked as a librarian at Atılım University Library, and he worked as a librarian at Ankara University Library and Documentation Department from 2011 to 2017.
Since December 2017, Üstün Berk Sezgin has been working as a lecturer at the Middle East Technical University (METU) Library. Since November 2012, he has been an ANKOS Database Liasion, and between 2015 and 2017, he was a member of the ANKOS Academy Working Group. He has been a member of the ANKOS Database Assessment Group since August 2024.
Cem Özel was born in Istanbul in 1979. He received his BA in Library Science from the Faculty of Letters at Istanbul University in 2000. He received his master degree in "Internet Based Distance Education and University Libraries in Turkey" from Social Sciences Institute of Istanbul University in 2004. He worked for Istanbul Bilgi University Library between 2000-2006. He had been working at Sabanci University Information Center as an information services specialist until 2013. He was appointed to User Services Manager at Sabanci University Information Center on 1 May 2013. He is a member of the Turkish Librarians Association and the Association of University and Research Librarians. Between 2015-2017, he worked as an editor in the journal “Turkish Librarianship”. He is currently a member of the editorial evaluation board of Turkish Librarianship. In addition, he was appointed to the ANKOS Academy group towards the end of 2023. At the end of 2023, he is also the coordinator of the Bibliometrics and Citation Indexes Working Group, which he founded under the umbrella of UNAK Association. He has been the moderator of a book club at Sabancı University for more than 4 years. Özel is also a columnist at BBY News Portal and Education Agency. In 2021, she started publishing her essays and stories in many issues of the monthly literary magazine Mikroscope.
